Giant Bat

Giant Bats are a large species of bat sporadically reported from the forests of D'Entrecasteaux and the Warlord Realms.

Although the existence of the creatures is not confirmed, many reports have been made over the years. They are described as black in colour and very fast moving, and their wingspan is reported at somewhere between one and ten metres - the smaller figures are considered much more likely.

They seem to favour river valleys, particularly the upper Donnelly, although they have also been seen in the coastal dunes to the south and a few reports exist from other areas. As with most bat species the best time to sight them is said to be around dusk or dawn.
