Kalgoorlie is the legendary 'lost' city of the desert, a place where the streets were paved with gold and beer flowed freely. Supposed to exist many week's journey into the Desert, it is considered entirely mythical by many.
Contrary to this popular opinion however, the approximate location of Kalgoorlie is well known to those interested enough to consult old maps. Though at approximately 500km into the Desert it is considered far too distant to ever be reached.
