Numbat

The Numbat is a small, marsupial termite-eater, resembling a large rat with a pointed snout, a large, brush like tail and black and white stripes across its hindquarters. It is found almost exclusively in the forests of D'Entrecasteaux and is the symbol of the state - appearing on the state flag.
