Polinymous Names
From Wild Southwest Wiki
Polinymous refers to a a personal name derived from a place name. Such names are common in the Southwest.
In the aftermath of the Great War it was not uncommon for displaced survivors to name their children after their old homes, or even change their own names to reflect their place of origin. This has led to a large proportion (around one third) of the population carrying names taken from towns and suburbs in the old coastal strip.
