Lake Seppings is a freshwater lake located to the east of the city of Albany. It is just over a kilometre in length from north to south, and ranges from around 400 metres wide at the north end to around 100 at the south. The lake narrows to around 20 metres wide about 220 metres from the south end and is crossed by a somewhat ramshackle wooden bridge.

The lake provides drinking water for the suburb of Middleton and irrigation water for the Sepping Farms on its east side. Its importance as a water source for these areas has led to the outlawing of swimming, hunting or rubbish dumping in or around the lake. It is not uncommon however for local children to supplement their families' diets by poaching ducks and other waterbirds for the table.
