Sheep

Sheep remain fundamentally unchanged from their pre-war kin. They are raised throughout the Southwest, but their greatest numbers are in Pallinup State where their wool and meat form the basis of the economy.

Eating lamb is uncommon. During the Winter many surviving sheep were rendered sterile by fallout and biological agents, making the few lambs born far too valuable to slaughter. Although the situation has improved immeasurably the habit has continued and lamb is eaten only on particularly special occasions.
