The Pirate Coast is a section of the south coast, east of Albany.

The exact definition of the Pirate Coast has varied over time. The term first came into use in the 2050s when Porongurup State was coming under increasing attack from the east by sea based raiders. At this time 'Pirate Coast' applied to the entire coastline east of Two Peoples Bay.

After the successful prosecution of the Pirate War 'Pirate Coast' came to mean the coast east of Cheyne Beach. With the official establishment of Pallinup State in 2072 the term came to refer to the coast east of the Gairdner River, the definition used today.

The eastern end of the Pirate Coast is undefined, although some consider it to fall at Cape Le Grand, referring to the coast beyond as 'The Desert Coast'.
